Mother is, likely, one of those few words whose very cite inspires a fountain of emotions in the heart of almost every person.
As very well said by a wise man-“The mother's lap is the first school for every child”. It is his first temple; mother is his foremost God. Mother is every man's primary wealth.
Women are the creator and destroyer of society. Women can make a family, thus making the society a heaven by removing the wrongs and evils from the society.
Our society views motherhood as something very special. Mothers should provide security and stability for their children. An ideal mother must sacrifice many of her own wants and desires for the benefit of her child and should teach him/her the ethics of being a good citizen.An ideal mother tries her best to carry out the goal to make her home a paradise for her children.
WOMEN CAN CHANGE THE SOCIETY’S LOOKOUT
Women can very well inculcate values in the society and so she is only responsible for its upliftment or downfall. We all are greatly influenced by our Mothers. She remains a great reservoir of inspiration for all of us throughout our lives. Mothers not only inspire and make us good human beings but also bring smile on our faces. Mother’s value as a role model and keeper is undeniable. There is no substitute to mother for a baby. Mother plays a keystone role in bringing up newborn. Mother’s role is not limited to newborns only. Mothers have to play a lively role even after their babies are grown up regardless of their age. In most of the Asian countries, mother is considered as symbol of strength and integrity and binding force for a family.
Mother also plays a critical role in career building of her child, as mother best knows the capabilities, strengths and weaknesses in her kid and can better guide her child to choose the right profession. As mothers, are the one who mould their children into bright, beautiful, pure and strong citizens.
We assign a special place to women in the society. It is therefore all the more important that the girls who are studying presently, should train themselves in such a way that they can live up to the ideals and aspirations of future woman.
If we want a good society, first of all we have to look for a good mother, as a mother is not only a school, but she is also the life, origin of human.
NEED FOR SPECIAL ROLE OF MOTHER IN THE PRESENT CONTEXT:

A child learns values, ethics and etiquettes from his/ her first school- Mother. She has a role to play to build our Nation as the children are the future of the Nation. Children are like wet cement, whatever falls on them makes an impression and it is mother who moulds her at this stage. Without the assistance of mother, the child may discover an erroneous path and turn out to be criminal or terrorist. So we should thank our mother to formulate us into a civilized person.
The role of mother in present context is more prominent as what we find today roots of terrorism are spreading day by day. The gap between haves and have-nots is also increasing faster .This leads to citizens who go for crimes for easy access to money .The political leaders misuse their powers and adopt corrupt practices to grab power and wealth .
The govt employess also divert for quick money at cost of their legitimate duties . Thus we have today society that is more characterless and deviation from basic religion as no religion teaches to adopt wrong practice to garner wealth .
Today society is more and more on deteriorating lifestyle .Use of drugs is on increase . Youth use drugs , alcohol and sex at early age . Late night parties and call center culture is spoiling the society . People go for more easy available junk food rather than home cook food . Obseity is increasing with well to do families while poor people suffer from mall nutrition.
In order to treat the problem from its roots and to save the next generation, women have to be educated in a well planned manner and endowed with the wisdom, courage and faith that can fit them for the great responsibility of curing the social diseases that rests upon them.
SETTING UP HIGH GOALS
The stage from infancy to childhood is a time when the development is at its peak. Children grow up rationally, spiritually, physically, and socially during this time. The primary method of a child’s learning is through observing and following those who are closest and nearest to them. Essentially, the mother is the one who lives with her child most of the time, so the child watch her mother and copy what she do.
She must prepare to teach the child how to live the sacred gifts: respect, humility, compassion, honesty, truth, wisdom and love. As this child will become tomorrow’s citizen. She sets high goals for her baby, so that in future he/she can become a good citizen as well as a good human being.
The mother is the centre and the foundation and the child's first teacher. She prepares the child for the first walk by caring, giving, feeling and meeting every need. She shows her loving and caring nature, not only during infancy but throughout the whole life.
The earliest education of the child is received in the home and the earliest years are the most important. The first person to have wide contact with a baby is usually the mother. The role of a mother in bringing up children is greater than that of a father. She is responsible for their emotional, behavioral, and intellectual development. She is responsible for inculcating a love of in them, especially in the early formative years. She must enforce discipline over the children in personal cleanliness, in humility and hospitality, in good manners and acts of service. She must persuade the children by example and teach to idolize elders and to give some time both in the morning and evening for prayer, yoga and silent meditation. There must be involvement and support by family, relatives and the community. This circle of people plays a very important role in giving the child a sense of belonging and protecting.
NEW LOOK AT MOTHERHOOD V/S CAREER
For a mother, nothing can be more exciting than keeping her baby nearby herself, listen to her baby’s laughter and quickly meet his/her needs with promptness. By doing so you will understand the needs, likings and disliking of your beloved child. Nobody can ever understand the feelings of a mother for her baby and nothing in this world can lessen the superfluity of love possessed by a mother in the depth of her heart.
The mother herself should look after the children during the early years instead of placing the child in the detention and care of baby sitters or servants.
Playing mother, wife, and career woman all at the same time is not a worthy position. In cases of necessity, the woman’s role as homemaker and caregiver should take priority over career and outside activities.
Deciding whether to return to work or not, brings up a complex set of issues. For some families it's a financial necessity. However as described in previous paras today’s, mother has a special role to bring up a new generation with strong character .Thats the only way out to bring a change for a better tomorrow . So motherhood or career should be decided on individual merit .Here are few guidelines that society can follow

Women having Degrees of High professional courses or who have mastered special skills like Engineers, doctors, scientists, models, Air hostesess, Writers, Artist’s etc.should pursue a career along with motherhood if they can .
WOMEN FROM MODERATE, RICH AND WELL PAID FAMILIES
Women from rich and well paid families can avoid employment and instead focus on motherhood as they have to make a new generation of good character citizens .
SUCH WOMEN CAN FOCUS ON MANY OTHER THINGS TO REMAIN BUSY LIKE
A woman's house can be her palace, her special medium, the place where her soul can be at peace. Good mother’s thinks less for self and focus more on family, morals and values. They teach children that there is more to life than getting ahead. Great responsibility rests upon the mothers and the influence of the mother over the children is the most surviving impression that can be made.
Influence of the mother; that is when she is good and has the good spirit in her heart, and she has brought up her children in the way they should go.
By the influence that they will thus gain over the hearts of their children they will lead them in the path of righteousness and truth, and bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, in the love of truth.
CHARACTER BUILDUP OF CHILD STARTS FROM PREGNANCY
During these first years a very important process is taking place in the child's life, that of socialization. For children this is called primary culture in which the children develop language, individual identity, the learning of self-control and know skills. Also, the child learns the learning of moral standards, apt attitudes, motivations and a basic understanding of social roles.
During the most important time in a child's life, when the foundation of his personality, morals and attitudes are laid that he/she will build off for the rest of his life, how can we can one give her child to another person to mould? These are the foundation years that can either make or break the child for the rest of his/her life. Problems like adultery and divorces have risen due to women in the work force.

But all moms--whether they stay at home, or work at home or in an office--should object to have the all-important role of mother assorted to little more than a child care worker.
Parents occupy a huge role in helping their children develop and thrive intellectually, physically, and socially throughout their lives.
The kind of care you provide in the early years has a significant impact on the actual development of your child’s brain.
A foreseeable, safe environment helps children to develop a sense of trust and self-trust, confidence, curiosity, enthusiasm, and motivation to learn.
