BAN TUTIONS INDUSTRY
There is mad rush for tuitions by students and parents in India .The pressure of getting admission to subjects of choice and good colleges start from class VIII onwards . The life of students which should have been spent on sports or extracurricular activity or development of hobbies is blocked and students are put to stress to prepare for competitions for IIT / Engineering or Medical.
Parents have to work hard to earn to meet high cost of schooling. Lot of fathers do overtime to meet school expenses and tuition fees .
The world of IIT competition and business industry to prepare students for IIT entrance exam is another mad rush created by our society.
The tutors connected with this business are earning money to train students for intelligent solutions and reasoning to excel in entrance exams.
The talent, the manpower and the money spent on such competitions is total waste from a national growth perspective. It does not help nation in any form, except few students who are finally selected and money spinners who manage the tuitions industry.
The teaching talent pool available could be better used to train scientists of tomorrow in research labs to work on fundamental sciences which our country lacks today.
The way out is to stop all tuition business by suspending all entrance exams . The entire admissions to engineering and medical should be based on CBSE exam results . Even if some institutions insist on separate exam , it may be allowed , if govt decides to ban tuitions legall
