CONTRIBUTION TO INDUSTRY
Mr Ramesh Kumar is founder of Lambda Group dealing into supply of Mobile Networking Infrastructure, Microwave Components, GSM Antenna, Shelters for Mobile Networks and Defense applications .
DRDO SCIENTIST
He is Ex-Defense Scientist and Microwave Engineer. Mr Kumar started his career from RDSO, a railway research and design organization and did his graduation in engineering while in service. He later joined Defense Research Development Organization as Microwave Scientist and worked at DEAL, Dehradun. Some of the areas he worked are:
Development of Low Noise Amplifiers at C and Ku satellite bands
Development of Millimeter Waveguide, Passive Components and 35 GHz Communication Link.
For some time he worked as Secretary to Defense Electronics Standardization Sub committee under defense standardization.
He developed Passive Waveguide Components as import substitution and founded Senor Microwaves in 1997 from a small setup. He later founded Lambda Microwave Pvt. Ltd (LMPL) at Faridabad. Lambda developed Waveguide Components for telecom projects. Since then, there was no looking back. Rapid acceptance of Lambda's products for Microwave and Telecom applications led to continual expansion of facilities and staff.
Contribution To Telecom Industry
Developed Telecom Products as Import Substitution
In 2002 Lambda developed Telecom accessories for Mobile Networks for OEMs like Sterling (now Vodafone) and Ericsson as Import Substitution. Lambda has supplied and deplayed its Telecom accessories to all major Mobile service providers for more than 1,00000 Cell sites .
Developed Microwave R&D Centre
In 2006 lambda invested heavily on R&D, test facilities and opened R&D Centre for Microwave Components. The R&D centre has been approved by DSIR,GOI.
Lambda also started production of new microwave products such as RF Absorbers, Coaxial Passive Components, Band Pass Filters ,surge Arrestors and MIC Components etc. Major products are :
- Microwave Components
- Base Station Antennas (A JV between Lambda & Arialcom, France).
- Fiber Optics Tx / Rx Modules (A JV between Lambda & Foxcom, Israel)
- Full Turnkey GPON Solutions.
- Microwave Industrial Heating Systems for Food processing.
Alternative Energy Solutions
The group is also working into Alternative energy solutions for Telecom applications such as :
- Eco friendly PNG Generators based on CNG fuel in place of diesel fired thus saving air and noise pollution.
- Passive Static Coolers, another energy saving systems.
- Microwave industrial Heating systems which are Eco friendly.
- Equipment Eco Shelters.
- Alternative Energy Solutions (FUEL CELLS, Static Passive Coolers, Biofuel Wind Energy Resources and Solar Energy Resources).
Advance Training Kits for Microwave Engineers :
Realizing shortage of Trained manpower, Lambda developed Advance low cost Microwave Training kits.
